In order to celebrate the digital and the upcoming Blu-ray releases — today and on June 14, respectively ( ) — Movie Pilot has been exclusively given two eerie motion posters of the film’s main characters, Michelle (Winstead) and Howard (Goodman). The motion posters play on the unsettling mystery of the film, with both Michelle and the audience unaware of what exactly the truth of situation is.

John Goodman’s performance as Howard in 10 Cloverfield Lane is without a doubt some of the best acting of 2016. One moment Goodman makes Howard seems like an affable father-type, and the next turns him into something more terrifying than whatever is going on outside that underground bunker.
On the outset, it sounds like the horrible car crash that resulted in her being taken to safety during an apocalyptic event was a blessing in disguise. But just how lucky was Michelle? This strong survivor soon realizes that there’s only one way this will end: escape or die.
