This guy is everywhere: comics, TV shows, movies. You love him, I love him, and we all love him. From his tragic backstory to his amazing arsenal of Batarangs, Bat-Grapple, even Shark Repellent Bat-Spray, and of course there is the Batsuit which has seen so many variations in media but what about the ones we can only find online? What kinds of fantastical creations have fans bestowed upon the internet? Well let’s take a look at some of the best fan made redesigns of the iconic Batsuit. TO THE INTERNET!
From artist Lee99 we have Bio-Batman. It’s Batman meets the Guyver…okay I’m sold. Very good design that’s differrent and alien while still keeping a design that Bats would make. The detail on the suit itself is fantastic, especially with the water dripping off the armor and the plating itself looks defined.
Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice gave us the best Batman suit (and arguable the best Batman) to date but many speculated different looks for Ben Affleck’s incarnation of the character. Take Habjan81 for example who made a very nice looking armored suit, very inspired by Arkham City but with enough tweeks to make it unique. It’s a very nice combination of armored and classic tights which keeps it from looking like a giant wad of kevlar. Very nice artstyle and detail.
The old Adam West TV series put a lot of focus on black and red for his Batmobile and many other things yet his suit was dark blue and gray. What if they kept the color theme for his suit as well? Well that’s why I immediately fell in love with this design by ninjaink. What he/she lacks in detail, he/she makes up for in amazing concept, I love this suit and honestly would like to see it in future incarnations of Batman. YOU READING THIS DC!? You should hire this artist!
Ah…I absolutely love steampunk. Airships, clockwork, flying cities, old timey stuff, I just love everything about it. Of course there is Batman by Gaslight but since I’m going for original designs, I went to Jason Lee’s take on a steampunk version of the Caped Crusader and it looks great! It has the steampunk style but it still looks like something Batman would wear. My favorite touches are the chest plate and the goggles.
Wow. Just Wow. There are so many things about this that I don’t know where to begin. It’s armored but not too armored, hell he’s wearing pants underneath that armor. It’s sleek and stylish but the pouches and armor pads add a sense of practicality to it. It’s just a fantastic design by Juan Elias and I have to give him major kudos for this great piece.
So those are some of the best fan made Batsuit redesigns I could find. If there is one or two that you thought should have been mentioned, go ahead and let me know that and your thoughts on this article overall in the comments below!
