5 Movie Crossovers that Would be Epic!

Movie crossovers are something that rarely happens, and can be met with mixed reactions by fans and critics. Alien vs Predator, Freddy vs Jason and even Simpsons meet Family Guy are all prime examples of two franchises merging to create something new. Having fun with this idea here is five crossover films that could prove very interesting.

1. Transformers and G.I. Joe.

This is a crossover that could actually be happening. Both film franchises have succeeded in capturing the attention of their old-school fans, while creating a whole new audience of fans through the films. The Transformers and G.I. Joe have crossed paths before in the comics. Back in March, 2013, producer Bonaventura announced, at the release of G.I. Joe: Retaliation, that he was open to the crossover. The director of the film even said he was open to directing the crossover. While news has come out that it won’t happen and then that it could still happen does make the project a question mark. However there is still a possibility of seeing this one come to fruition.

2. Godzilla vs King Kong vs Pacific Rim

Another crossover that has been floating around among the fans is the idea of Godzilla vs King Kong vs Pacific Rim. We all know Godzilla and King Kong have a rivalry, but what would happen with a giant Jaeger was thrown into the battle? Perhaps the two long rivals will see the meaning behind the phrase “the enemy of my enemy is my friend.” Granted the story line for this film would be pretty poor to try and justify how they are all in the same place, but the fight between the three would be a pure visual orgasm for any action lover.

3. The Incredibles meet Big Hero 6!

Heroes Unite!

This one might annoy a few, as Disney would be cashing in on their animated hero franchises like they have with the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But consider how brilliant a movie featuring both sets of characters would be. While there were no obvious links between The Incredible’s world and Big Hero 6’s world, that does not mean they could not be the same world. They could also have fun teaming the characters from both teams up and even potentially bring back the villains from their films to join forces against them.

4. Terminator vs Predator.

This was something that popped up on the internet created by a fan. The premise idea for the film would be that, it is time for the Predators to return for their next hunt but Skynet has already taken control of the planet. The twist is, Skynet are aware of the alien hunters and are ready for their return. It would see the hunters become the hunted in a high action sci-fi. There have even been comics featuring the franchises meeting before, so a live-action film could one day happen.

5. Batman vs Alien.

Has Batman finally met his match?

Has Batman finally met his match?

Admit it, simply reading this point has made you excited for the idea. Batman fans are always eager to see the Dark Knight face various foes, simply to prove he is the best there is. What better way to test him than Gothem being the center of a nest of alien Xenomorphs! Imagine also the Xenomorphs they could make by using some of Batman’s foes as hosts. Xenomorphs take on characteristics based on their host, seen in Alien 3 and Alien vs Predator 2. So what do you think a Xenomorph that hatched out of Bane, Killer Croc or Poison Ivy would be like?

Honorable Mention.

Avengers vs X-Men

With word surfacing about Marvel and Fox talking about the X-Men appearing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it could be possible for us to see the two teams come to blows. With the Phoenix Force emerging during X-Men: Apocalypse and the focus on this comic story is the Avengers fearing the Phoenix Force, they could make a superhero movie like never before. They would obviously change elements and characters, but to see the Avengers vs the X-Men is something that would pull in massive audiences.

What film or television crossovers have you always wanted to see?
