It was announced last week that CSI: Cyber has been cancelled after two seasons and only 31 episodes.The third spin-off from CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, starring Patricia Arquette and Ted Danson (who joined the show in the second season after leaving the original series), was not renewed by CBS due to two seasons of low ratings.
But that’s not even the biggest news!With the cancellation of CSI: Cyber, this will be the first time in 16 YEARS that we will be without a CSI on our screens!
The original CSI, about a group of crime scene investigators solving crimes in Las Vegas, first aired in 2000 and lasted for 335 episode before ending in 2015 with a two-hour finale.CSI starred the likes of William Petersen, Marg Helgenberger, Laurence Fishburne, Ted Danson, Elisabeth Shue, George Eads, Jorja Fox, Paul Guilfoyle and many more.
In 2002, CSI: Miami first aired, lasting for 232 episodes until ending in 2012 and starring the likes of David Caruso and those sunglasses.
Aside from Caruso, CSI: Miami also starred Emily Procter, Adam Rodriguez, Jonathan Togo, Rex Linn, Eva La Rue, Rory Cochrane, Khandi Alexander and Eddie Cibrian.
Next, things went to the Big Apple for CSI: New York which lasted from 2004 to 2013 before being cancelled with 197 episodes under it’s belt.
Gary Sinise, Carmine Giovinazzo, Hill Harper, Eddie Cahill, Anna Belknap, A.J. Buckley, Robert Joy, Vanessa Ferlito, Sela Ward and Melina Kanakaredes.
