You can read the full list , but in the meantime let’s look at some of the other shining stars!

George A. Romero

Sorry Robert Kirkman, Romero is the undisputed daddy of the zombie genre. Starting with Night of the Living Dead in 1968, Romero has gone on to give us other gore-fests like Creepshow, the original Crazies and Dawn of the Dead.

Selena Quintanilla

A posthumous nomination sees the Grammy winning, bilingual superstar receive a star 21 years after her death. Already honored in the biopic Selena, starring Jennifer Lopez, Quintanilla was tragically killed at 23 by the founder of her first fan club.

Goldie Hawn

Just a year after her hubby was inducted, Mrs. Kurt Russell too finds her place on the Hollywood Boulevard. Known for her feisty roles in the likes of Death Becomes Her and The First Wives Club, Hawn rightfully earns her place as a cult icon!

Chris Pratt

In between guarding the galaxy and wrestling velociraptors, Pratt has to find time to put his paws in the cement. Undergoing somewhat of a body transformation, Pratt is unrecognizable from his *erm* chunkier days on Parks and Rec. Next year, he will once again play Star-Lord in Marvel’s big hitter Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

Ice Cube

Alongside Johnson as the outsider choice, O’Shea Jackson’s time with groups like C.I.A. and N.W.A., in addition to a lucrative solo career, have earned him a place this year. Not only a rap artist, Ice Cube has appeared in the likes of Boyz ‘n the Hood, Ride Along and 21 Jump Street.

Ryan Reynolds

Deadpool — ’nuff said really. Reynolds is hot Hollywood property at the moment and (forgetting Green Lantern) has had a pretty good film score. Moving from rom-coms to the superhero genre, everyone is gearing up for Deadpool 2. He should be on the Walk of Fame just for giving us all .

Amy Adams

Amy Adams in 'American Hustle' [Columbia Pictures]

Rounding off the superhero roster, Lois Lane gets her place on the Walk of Fame. The real-life Jessica Rabbit was named one of TIME’s most influential women back in 2014 and has starred in films like Julie & Julia, American Hustle and Enchanted. After becoming one of the famous stars, Adams will return to the Daily Planet for the upcoming Justice League outing.

Back to the matter at hand though, Johnson’s rise to stardom started in his days as Rocky Maivia with the World Wrestling Federation from 1996–2004. He may have returned part-time from 2011–2013, but these days Johnson focuses more on his film career — and you can check out . In 2002 he was paid a world record for a first acting role, receiving $5.5 million for his part in The Scorpion King and obviously got a taste for the theater. He’s since locked down some pretty huge roles, including, of course, in the Fast and Furious franchise. His next project will see him playing a demigod If you haven’t already, check out the trailer below!

The Rock Says… is Johnson’s best-selling autobiography and he was ranked No. 25 in Forbes’s Top 100 Most Powerful Celebrities in 2013 list. Pretty big work for a pretty big guy. Dwayne Johnson, welcome to the class of 2017. We salute you!
