Our First Official Glimpse At Volume 2
Released via Entertainment Weekly exactly one week before Comic-Con, we have received our first look into the sequel to (in my opinion) one of Marvel Studios’ greatest films yet.
We see the return of our classic ensemble (Star-Lord, Drax, Groot [In baby form!], Rocket, and Gamora) , including Yondu Udonta, the leader of the Ravagers, once-upon-a-time villain Nebula, and introducing the newest alien to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Mantis, who will be played by Pom Klementieff!
When asked about the newest addition to the Guardians of the Galaxy, producer Jonathan Schwartz had the following to say about the antennae-wearing alien:
She has never really experienced social interaction. Everything she learns about dealing with people, she learns from the Guardians of the Galaxy, which is a very weird group to learn your social intricacies from.
As if this awesome piece of concept art wasn’t enough to grace your computer’s or mobile device’s background, it can also be physically hung up on your wall! According to EW, this specific piece of concept art will be released to the attendees of this year’s San Diego Comic-Con.
So, be a pal, and grab me one would ya? That’d be great. It’ll make me do a happy dance:
