As the week winds down, the hype for Game of Thrones epic Episode 9 starts ramping up. HBO has decided, once again, to keep their show shrouded in mystery by for the final two episode of Season 6.
Even without the descriptions, Game of Thrones history tells us that Episode 9 of any season is going to be insane, and the teaser trailers we’ve seen only hammer that fact home. This Sunday will feature the long-awaited “Battle of the Bastards,” and we couldn’t be more excited.
Today, HBO released their weekly batch of Game of Thrones stills, which has only made the anticipation that much more intense. Check out the images from “Battle of the Bastards” below:
A shot of Jon Snow and his steely undead eyes looking pensively out into the distance.
On a scale from one to ten of how badly I want Ramsay Bolton to die the most excruciating death, I think I sit at a comfortable 10,000,000. That guy has it coming in the best possible way.
Almost every season features a large-scale battle of sorts, but — if the insanity of — this will be the most intense by far.
Wun Weg Wun Dar Wun
Jon might have fewer men, but at least he has a badass wildling Giant on his side. That has to be worth something.
Jon Facing an Enemy Army
That man bun can withstand the armies of a hundred Ramsay Boltons.
Sansa and Jon
Over the course of the last two seasons, we’ve really seen Sansa Stark come into her own. Her newfound strength could make her a fantastic Lady of Winterfell.
Ser Davos Seaworth
Davos claims to not be much of a fighter, but something about his austere gaze that tells me he’s still not someone you want to mess with.
Tormund has quickly become one of my preferred Game of Thrones characters. Between his loyalty to Jon Snow, his leaderships skills and that fiery red beard, he’s definitely a fan-favorite.
Sadly, there are only two episodes left in Season 6 of Game of Thrones. But I think this penultimate episode will be more than gratifying. Now all we have to do is sit back and prepare ourselves mentally.
“Battle of the Bastards” airs on HBO on Sunday night.
What are your final predictions for the last two episodes of Game of Thrones Season 6?
