‘Game Of Thrones’ Showrunners Apologize For The First Time Ever After Last Week’s Devastating Episode by Kristin Lai , May 25th, 2016 at 10:23am Share on Facebook Share to Twitter*WARNING: Spoilers for Game of Thrones, Season 6, Episode 5.”If you’re anything like me, chances are you’re still reeling after Sunday night’s episode of Game of Thrones. The episode “The Door” was chock-full of jaw-dropping moments, including one in which we realized Hodor’s demise was 20 years in the making. The Game of Thrones creators D.B. Weiss adn David Benioff took to Jimmy Kimmel Live to, for the first time ever, apologize to their fans. Not because they killed yet another beloved character — R.I.P. Hodor — but because they’ve created a new, annoying, and soon-to-be-everywhere reference.Check out the heartfelt apology for their most heinous transgression here:”We’re sorry for all the idiots who, from now on, will be shouting ‘Hodor!’ every time you go through a door.”We get it, you watch Game of Thrones. So does the entire world!”We forgot how annoying people could be. That’s our bad.”Jimmy Kimmel LiveJust don’t be that guy. Don’t desecrate Hodor’s memory like that.”We can kill people in real life too.”Jimmy Kimmel LiveSo the next time someone yells “HODOR” instead of “Hold the door,” you reserve the right to (metaphorically) stab them straight in the back Game of Thrones style.Game of Thrones airs Sunday nights on HBO.What did you think of Hodor’s fate? Let us know in the comments section.(Source: Jimmy Kimmel Live )
