Happy Birthday Peter Dinklage! Looking At His Next 5 Films!

Today, June 11th, marks the 47th birthday to the prolific Game of Thrones actor who has racked up a number of great roles over the years. His role as Tyrion Lannister gained him the reputation as arguably the most popular Game of Thrones character in the series! He’s a busy man in Hollywood after just starring in both The Boss and the Angry Birds movie. For his birthday, I thought it would be cool to look at his next 5 films, enjoy!

1. Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri

First up on our list is a crime drama, that also stars Sam Rockwell (Moon), Woody Harrelson (Zombieland) and Abbie Cornish (Limitless). The basic story of this film follows a mother who relentlessly searches for her daughters murderer. To me, this sounds like a gripping thriller that should have some spine-tingling suspense. Expect this one in 2017 as it’s still filming as of now.

2. O’ Lucky Day

In a complete contrast to the last film comes, O’ Lucky Day, a comedy that’s directed by Rock of Ages helmer, Adam Shankman. This movie is about a mans “attempt to pass himself off as a real leprechaun” (IMDb.com). We all know that Peter Dinklage is as funny as he is serious, so it should be no surprise that this film will be hilarious! Expect this one in 2017 too, but it could be post-poned because so far, Dinklage is the only cast member.

3. Rememory

Peter Dinklage really wants to branch out in all genres because this flick is a mystery/sci-fi. This movie is the one I’m most excited about because it’s an idea I’ve always thought of, it follows “the widow of a wise professor stumbles upon one of his inventions that’s able to record and play a persons memory” (IMDb.com). How cool does that plot sound? It also stars Anton Yelchin (Star Trek) and Julie Ormond (Mad Men). This film is still in post-production so it’s not entirely clear when it will be out, but I’ll be sure to keep an eye out!

4. The Thicket

For this movie, Dinklage is going back to crime genre with a film that is yet to find a director. The plot sounds as if Dinklage won’t be a main character but it is known that he’ll be playing a bounty hunter names Shorty. I think this is going to be a crazy movie and the sooner it finds a director, the better!

5. The Jester

This next thriller is about a story about when “a peasant poses as a court jester for a twisted king in order to mount a campaign of revenge against the knights who viciously murdered his uncle” (IMDb.com). It’s unclear whether Dinklage will be playing the peasant or the king, but either way, you know he’s going to be great. It’s not announced when this film will be released, but hopefully it wont go into production hell because I’d love to see this one be released.

So there you have it guys, let me know which Peter Dinklage role is your favorite and which one of his next roles you’re most looking forward to.
