Read at your own risk.*X-Men: Apocalypse introduces a slew of new mutants to the film franchise, much to the delight of comic book fans. But that also means a little less time for fan favorites.Director Bryan Singer sat down with Fandango to chat about some deleted scenes from X-Men: Apocalypse , revealing that the one and only scene of beloved mutant Jubilee using her powers was cut from the movie.Singer’s last entry in the franchise, X-Men: Days of Future Past , featured an extensive director’s cut that added a storyline featuring the character Rogue into the film. But this time around, Singer doesn’t plan on making big changes for the home release:When editing Apocalypse , Singer tried to ultimately create the best theatrical experience:Jubilee may be featured fairly prominently in promotional materials for X-Men: Apocalypse , but she has a minor role in the film itself. Sadly, that means that audiences don’t get to see her light projection powers on the big screen. But Bryan Singer promised that fans can see the character’s powers once the film’s hits home release:Making the Best Movie PossibleIf Singer wanted more Jubilee why wasn’t the scene left in the film? Well, the director was just trying to make the most effective film possible. He even had to cut some scenes that were undeniably good. As Singer recalled:Based on his comments, its clear that Bryan Singer put some serious thought behind the plotting of X-Men: Apocalypse . With such a big cast there were bound to be significant cuts from the film, and while its unfortunate characters like Jubilee had to be sidelined those edits should keep the film moving at a good pace.X-Men: Apocalypse hits theaters on May 27.
