Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV

Trailer for Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV.

CG adventure is told through the eyes of King Regis, while Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV follows the journey of Prince Noctis. The two tales entwine to weave a stirring story of father and son. The film also sheds light onto deeper discoveries of the game world. Featuring beautiful, state-of-the-art CG technology in all its glory, Kingsglaive goes beyond the game franchise to deliver a true action film experience—an epic adventure for all.
ReviewThe soundtrack for this Final Fantasy feature should be pretty dang good. The music was composed by John R. Graham with the help of composer Yoko Shimomura, the main composer for the Final Fantasy XV game. So the music should be both fresh and familiar to fans of the franchise.

And, considering that the film is based entirely on a popular game franchise, it makes sense that Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV would be included as a Blu-Ray with the Final Fantasy XV Collector’s Edition.

Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV Trailer Screencap
To start, I have absolutely no knowledge of the Final Fantasy franchise, as it makes sense for web publishers to do all they can to avoid video games as, guess what, becoming addicted to some game can really put a damper on your job. But I digress…

Typically I would have no interest in a CG adaptation such as this, but then Sony gets me to at least turn my ahead in attention when they mention that Aaron Paul, Sean Bean and Lena Headey are voicing some of the leading characters. What a great mix, and definitely adds some credibility to this animation’s feature-worthiness.

And now we have the trailer for Kingslaive, and it looks absolutely insane. The visuals are excellent, with many of scenes looking so photo-realistic that you could screenshot one and convince a buddy that the film is live-action. To top it off, the trailer employs a terrific selection of music. The most recognizable of which is the track “Moving Mountains” by Two Steps from Hell, a popular musical choice for epic trailers.
