Live Action ‘Tokyo Ghoul’ Coming Our Way!

Hello all, I doubt you guys been wondering what I’ve been doing since the last time I posted so let me not bore you with it all. The only reason you’re here is because Tokyo Ghoul’s getting a live action, I know I’m excited for it too! Seen on manga Tokyo Ghoul: re volume 7 which hit shelves yesterday, June 17th shows that a live-action film is going to be here soon.

More information and details are coming later in the Weekly Young Jump magazine where it’s published. With 14 volumes out in the first series and seven in the newer series Tokyo Ghoul: re, along with the anime, There’s more than enough to create a fairly decent live-action adaptation. However, it’s not what fans were waiting or wanted, are we excited? damn straight! But we still want our 3rd season!

Let’s not slide off topic though, we’re all here to talk about the live-action correct? So let’s talk cast, it’s one of the most critical parts in making a live action adaptation and in most projects they get it wrong. I’m not sure why it’s so hard to cast a perfect person who looks actually like a character somebody made up, but it is! (I hope you guys sensed my sarcasm) I know they can’t always find the perfect actors. So before they kill my delusional thoughts by releasing the official cast, I thought why not share my fancast with my MoviePilot otaku.

Fancast for Tokyo Ghoul

I’ll keep it short and sweet, well, I’m not sure how shorter I can make just inserting pictures with titles overhead but I’ll make it as short as possible! I might add a sentence or two, but that’s me being me, so feel free not to read it. I just want you to know you’ll be breaking my heart by doing so, anyway enough with the formalities let’s get to the fancast! let me know what you guys think, good or bad, I promise I’ll only cry a maximum of 6 hours.

Yūki Ogoe as Kaneki

There is no way in hell I would pick anyone else for the part other than Ogoe. He did so well in the stage play that I just have to put him in my fancast!

Hikari Mitsushima as Touka

When I was thinking of who could play Touka not many actors came to mind. So I actually went on a hunt for one and when I came across Hikari Mitsushima I was over the moon. I think she’ll do a fabulous job as Touka.

Keiko Kitagawa as Rize

It was so easy for me to cast Rize, every time I ever thought of a live action Tokyo Ghoul, Keiko Kitagawa would come to mind for Rize, I can’t see anyone else for the part but I’m biased.

Ryosuke Yamada as Juuzou

At first I was going to cast him as a girl, but I hate when studios do such things so after contemplating on who to pick my mind finally remembered Yamada.

Masaki Okada as Hide

I’m kind going off on a ledge casting Okada as Hide. I know he doesn’t really seem right for the part, but I believe he’d do a wonderful job as Hide. Look they have the same smile!

Mizushima Hiro as Uta

Hiro would be a perfect for Uta in my eyes. He has that look to him that he can pull it off, plus we already know he can play a quiet but cool character after his mind-blowing performance in the live action Black Butler. He’s just one hell of a actor!

Eita Nagayama as Shu

My first pick to play Shu was going to be the stage play actor, but I didn’t like the way he portrayed the character. Then I thought about Nagayama. I haven’t seen many of his movies however, I can still vouch that his acting skills are on point.

Jiyū Arima as Kureo

looked around and I haven’t found not one person who comes close to being able to play this character other than, Mr. Arima. If you want to know where I’m coming from just pull up a picture of him in costume you’ll see.

I know we’re all waiting for the 3rd season to be released, but a live action movie isn’t the worst news we could’ve heard. Will any of you be checking out the film when it released and what do you think of my fancast? let me know all those dirty thoughts by commenting down in the you know, comment section. Thanks for reading and have a fabulous day!
