We already guessed that would be , but the madness of San Diego Comic-Con continues and the Legends of Tomorrow panel have dropped some major announcements!
Re-live the epic conclusion to Season 1:
The season finale of Legends of Tomorrow saw the introduction of the Justice Society of America with a special appearance by Suits star Patrick J. Adams as Rex Tyler. Due to this cliffhanger ending, fans have long suspected that the Justice Society of America would be prominently featured in the second season. During the San Diego Comic-Con, WB TV made announcements that JSA members Dr. Mid-Nite, Obsidian and Stargirl will all appear on Season 2.
But thats not all! Not only will there be a new team of heroes but Season 2 will see the introduction of a major team of super-villains. That’s right — the Legion of Doom will be coming to Legends of Tomorrow. However, fans will recognize some of the villains from the other Arrowverse shows — Malcolm Merlyn, Damien Darhk and The Reverse Flash will be the key members of The Legion of Doom. Matt Lescher, who previously played the Reverse Flash on The Flash will be joining Legends of Tomorrow as a series regular. and Wentworth Miller have both signed deals that allow them to appear across all of the CW superhero shows. Legends executive producer Mark Guggenheim had this to say on The Legion of Doom:
“For Season 2 of ‘Legends,’ we decided that the perfect antagonist for TV’s first-ever team of superheroes would be TV’s first-ever team of super-villains, recruited from the ranks of Arrow and The Flash’s deadliest adversaries. Being huge fans of the Challenge of the Superfriends, we’ve come to call this group our ‘Legion of Doom.”
The Comic-Con announcements keep on coming and we’re more than excited for what we learned about Legends of Tomorrow. With new threats and challenges to face into the coming season, the team will have some serious work to do. We can’t wait to see the action unfold!
