Margot Robbie’s Next 4 Films Will Elevate Her From ‘The Clown Princess Of Crime’ To Queen Of The Screen

By now, everyone on the planet knows — — Margot Robbie’s name. Over the last few years she’s played Leonardo DiCaprio’s blonde bombshell wife, Naomi Lapaglia, in The Wolf of Wall Street, gave us the dummy’s guide to mortgage bonds from a bubble bath in and starred opposite Alexander Skarsgård as Jane in The Legend of Tarzan. In short, she’s becoming a certified Hollywood star.

And that certified position will undoubtably be set in stone after her appearances in the following four films:

1. Being The Clown Princess Of Crime In Suicide Squad

With less than a month left to go until the arrival of the DCEU’s second installment this year, it feels like there’s not a soul left — — who’s not super excited to see what emerges from this sassy squad of super villains.

Margot Robbie brings the unpredictable, manipulative and vexing Harley Quinn to life in what’s set to be this summer’s next big blockbuster revolving around a group of prisoners tasked with executing dangerous tasks in exchange for shorter prison sentences.

2. Playing The ‘Dynamic Woman’ In Terminal

Bagging a starring role in noir thriller, Terminal (not to be confused with the 2004 movie about Tom Hanks killing time in an airport), alongside Simon Pegg (Shaun of the Dead), Mike Myers (Austin Powers), Max Irons (Red Riding Hood) and Dexter Fletcher (Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels), Margot Robbie plays Annie, a woman clouded by enigma as two hit men try to fulfill a seemingly suicidal mission while working for a mysterious employer.

Color me intrigued!

Release date: TBD

3. Breaking The Rules In Larrikins

Who wouldn’t want to watch an animal rock ‘n’ roll animated musical directed by five-time Tony-winning English/Australian composer-comedian Tim Minchin and The LEGO Movie/Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs helmer Chris Miller? Err, no one, that’s who.

The term Larrikins is Aussie slang for “maverick” or “rebel” and, as the plot revolves around a desert-dwelling marsupial named Bilby who’s kicked out of his family pad and responds by becoming a full-time roadie, the title is pretty spot on. Add this to the excellent cast line-up, which is comprised of Margot Robbie (obviously), Hugh Jackman, Naomi Watts, Rose Byrne and Ben Mendelsohn, and this movie equals one big fat yes from me!

4. Wreaking Havoc In An Untitled Harley Quinn Project

There are plenty of rumors circulating around what this Untitled Harley Quinn Project could focus on, and while Margot Robbie’s character will undoubtably be the driving force in the picture, there’s talk of other female antiheroes from the DC Extended Universe, such as Catwoman and Poison Ivy, getting their claws in it too.

Whether the movie will draw inspiration from Harley Quinn’s storylines in comic books Gotham Sirens or Birds of Prey, we’ll probably have to wait until after Suicide Squad‘s release to find out; but one thing’s for sure, we’re super intrigued to see how this character develops!
