Max Steel is an in-depth origin story. The plot chronicles the adventures of teenage Max McGrath and alien companion Steel, who must harness and combine their tremendous new powers to evolve into the turbo-charged superhero Max Steel. As these two unlikely friends struggle to accept their oddly connected fates, they begin to uncover unimaginable secrets, working together to find the truth, and fighting the mysterious forces threatening their world.Max Steel is originally a line of action figures produced and owned by the toy company Mattel. The figures are similar to the original 12-inch G.I. Joe toys, consisting almost entirely of different versions of Max Steel, the main character, and one or two of his enemies, a couple of vehicles and 2 or 3 special packages.
Max Steel was developed into an animated series of the same name, which originally aired from February 25, 2000, to January 15, 2002, followed by nine direct-to-video animated films, being released annually from 2004 to 2012.
Noah Silver and auditioned for Max McGrath/Max Steel before Ben Winchell was cast. I am not familiar at all with the Max Steel comic books or the animated films. But it seems to follow the all too familiar super hero story line of a person starting out not knowing about their powers and then slowly developing and harness them so they can save the world.
In a movie market that is over saturated with super hero films which have been dominating the box office lately, this film is an ambitious undertaking. This film has a low budget feel especially when compared to the budgets the other mega blockbuster and DC films have.
