Michael B. Jordan is Officially Confirmed for ‘Black Panther’

Black Panther is one of the many Marvel Cinematic Universe films that are coming out in the next couple of years, and it’s definitely one of the more highly anticipated films. Black Panther receiving a solo movie is already an exciting concept for a blockbuster, yet Captain America: Civil War managed to successfully introduce us to our favorite bat… I mean, cat. Jokes aside, Black Panther exceeded our expectations as he was an extremely riveting character and was a total bad-ass throughout the whole entire film. Batman may have had a few “bad-ass” scenes in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but it was a totally different case with Boseman’s Black Panther. Every scene T’Challa donned the suit, he was completely bad-ass no matter what he did. Even when he just stood there, chills crawled up your spine.

If Black Panther’s outstanding performance wasn’t enough to sell you over, just take a look at the cast of Black Panther. Alongside Chadwick Boseman, we have the talented Andy Serkis reprising his role of Ulysses Klaw, who was featured in Avengers: Age of Ultron and is notably the main antagonist of the film. There has also been multiple rumored actors to appear in Black Panther and it seems to appear that one of those rumors has been confirmed.

Michael B. Jordan Confirms He Has A Role in Black Panther

Micheal B. Jordan, who stared in Fan4stic and more notably, Creed has been rumored to have a role in the upcoming Black Panther flick. However, in an interview with THR at the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic, Jordan revealed that he will be in Black Panther and is very eager about becoming apart of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, he did not mention which character he will be portraying but has possibly confirmed yet another rumored actress to star in Black Panther.

“I’m super excited, especially to put a different spin on it. I’m looking forward to working with Ryan [Coogler] once again. It’s gonna be a good time… I can’t wait to work with Lupita Nyong’o and Chadwick Boseman [in Black Panther].”

Is Lupita Nyong’o Also Confirmed for Black Panther?

Jordan said he can’t wait to work with Nyong’o on Black Panther. He could have said for many reasons, possibly because he hasn’t learned much about his role yet and he has only assumed she was going to appear in the film thanks to the heavy rumors floating across the internet. On the opposite side, he could know a lot more about the Black Panther film than we assume he does like who he’s portraying and some of the other actors and actresses who are set to make an appearance in the film that have not been announced by Marvel yet. It is not impossible that he just slipped out the fact that she will be in the film, which really is no surprise to any of us. Many actors have done the same in the past and it looks like it is no difference with Michael B. Jordan.

Who Will Michael B. Jordan Portray?

There are many characters apart the Black Panther lore that Michael B. Jordan could potentially end up depicting. He could play the expert fighter Erik Killmonger (pictured above), who would be a physical and mental match for T’Challa. Andy Serkis is portraying Ulysses Klaw in the movie and his character has a lot to do with Killmonger a.k.a. N’Jadaka. N’Jadaka was a child when Klaw took over Wakanda for its resources and in the process ended up killing N’Jadaka’s family. N’Jadaka was taken as a slave and exiled to the United States, where he swore revenge on T’Challa and Wakanda. Basically, N’Jadaka is like Batman, who is an expert fighter and very intelligent but is a villain.
