New ‘Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them’ Poster Teases Magical Announcement

promises to show fans a whole new side of author J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World. And it sounds like we’ll get a better idea of what that means very soon.

Earlier today, a new poster for Fantastic Beasts was released through the film’s official Twitter account. Even better, the poster came with the promise of an impending “fantastic” announcement.

The poster features hero Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) gazing down upon the streets of New York City from a busted building, wand in one hand, suitcase in the other. As we already know, that suitcase contains a menagerie of magical creatures, and we’re guessing it had something to do with that building getting destroyed.

The poster doesn’t reveal much, though the promise of an announcement should be exciting for fans. Of course, the revelations could take the form of something standard like a new trailer release, but we think something more magical is in store.

The film takes place before the events of the Harry Potter series, meaning some characters from Rowling’s original stories could appear in Fantastic Beasts. Hogwarts headmaster Albus Dumbledore was already mentioned in the film’s teaser trailer, and star of fan favorites returning to the big screen. Revealing the return of a major character would definitely please fans, building even more buzz for a film we expect at the box office.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them hits theaters on November 18. What do you think will be revealed in the upcoming announcement? Which characters do you want to return to the big screen? Let us know in the comments.
