When it comes to guessing movie plots, the first stop is the title. With everyone madly scrabbling to , and the next Avengers movies , there’s a lot of fan speculation riding on the second half of any big movie title.
dropped by Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, many fans were hoping that the second half of the first Justice League movie title would give us a clue about which comic arc the film would adapt.
Unfortunately though, it looks like we’ll have a little longer to wait until we find that out. Geoff Johns, creative director of the DCEU and general Big Man On Campus, stepped in to dismiss rumors about the Justice League title, and he definitely set the record straight.

After Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice received many comments about unnecessary double titles, it seems as though Warner Brothers want to keep it simple for the next big DCEU outing.
While this is probably a good choice for the first movie of a series (after all, part two will undoubtably have a double-barreled title, as will later installments), it’s a shame that we haven’t got any inkling of what the plot will be for the film.
This announcement comes on the heels of the which seemed to be setting up an adaptation of the Injustice: Gods Among Us game. So did fans get too close to guessing the plot, or were these rumored titles just a red herring? Either way, we’ll have to wait until 2017 to find out.
