Say Goodbye: Teen Wolf Season 6 Will Be Its Last

It’s been rumoured about for a while, but now it’s finally been confirmed: Teen Wolf will end with its sixth season!

The Beacon Hills gang will return for an action packed Season 6, which will contain 20 episodes and when the series finale airs in 2017, it will also happen to be the show’s 100th episode.

The news was announced at San Diego Comic-Con 2016 by show runner, Jeff Davis, who shared his sadness with the room full of fans and what the future means for the teenagers.

“I know we’re sad about it and it’s bittersweet but we’re so happy to be able to come to Comic-Con and share it with you guys.”

“They’re on the verge of graduation and it’s a big thing for them. It’s especially a big thing for Scott who is worried about how he can leave Beacon Hills: Is he going to be passing the mantle on to Liam who isn’t yet an alpha but desperately wants to start acting like one?”

Holland Roden (Lydia Martin) talked about her years on the show, one of only three original stars left.

“I grew up with this gang of boys basically during my entire 20s…and it’s been the craziest ride. I probably wouldn’t be acting if it wasn’t for this show.”

We also got our final look at the final season of Teen Wolf. Check it out below!

How intense was that, especially those opening scenes? Remember the lighter days of the first season! As if anyone could forget Stiles but his absence sure would make an impact. Some Peter Hale and Chris Argent goodness but just how did Peter get out of Eichen House?

If this last season – will we finally learn his real name?

So What Can We Expect from the Last Season?

As the Wild Hunt arrives in Beacon Hills and causes trouble for Scott, his pack and the residents. Davis explains the myth of the Wild Hunt and reveals something else we will be seeing, something we might have never seen on television before.

“It’s more of a Beacon Hills-wide mystery. … The Wild Hunt myth is that is passes through your town. If you’re unfortunate enough to glance up at them, they take you with them.”
“We have a Nazi Werewolf this season … and we get to see how he was put into this big glass capsule. … We’re history buffs at Teen Wolf, so we wanted to have a villain we haven’t seen before.”

A Nazi Werewolf?

Generally with final seasons, if the shows knows it’s their last, they get back some of their old cast members for one last goodbye. Not only will it be it’s final episode but also the 100th so can we expect some awesome reunion scenes in between bouts to tears?

I for one would like to see the original gang back together again! Scott, Stiles, Lydia, Allison, Derek, Jackson and Lydia reunited for one last farewell.

Cody Christian will return as Theo even though the last we saw of him, he was dragged to hell. Is he back to cause more trouble or has hell changed him into seeking reception for his past acts?

Ian Bohen is also expected to return as Peter Hale and will have some “family trouble” with his daughter, Malia. Could Derek and/or Cora be dragged into the family drama?

JR Bourne is coming back as hunter/ally, Chris Argent, and talked about his relationship with Scott over the series.

“I love where that relationship, over the series, has gone. It’s what his daughter showed him, that he’s more than a werewolf. He’s a young man who carries equal morals to Argent.”

Could we be seeing any other returning favorites for a final farewell?

Teen Wolf: The Sixth and Final Season will premiere on MTV in November.
