Star Of ‘Matilda’ And ‘Mrs. Doubtfire’ Comes Out On Twitter

Mara Wilson, best known as the breakout child star of the 1996 classic Matilda, recently came out on Twitter.

While the actress and writer stated that she used to believe she was straight, she has recently felt more of a connection to the bisexual/queer label.

Wilson decided to share this part of her life while discussing the recent Orlando tragedy, and in a series of tweets explained how she “always felt at home” in the LGBTQ community.

She on to say:

“Being a ‘straight girl’ where I clearly didn’t belong, but I will say, I felt so welcomed there. I have never had a better experience at a club than I did then. I haven’t been to one since college, except once when a friend brought me along. I didn’t feel like I belonged there. But the LGBTQ community has always felt like home, especially a few years later when I, uh, learned something about myself.”

Hundreds of fans and followers have congratulated Wilson, who went on to describe herself as a , and thanked everyone for their messages of support.
