Guys, look, it’s here! The Assassin’s Creed movie’s first trailer has finally hit the waves, and has sent a ripple of excitement and curiosity careering through the web and up and down my spine… at least.
The production, which has been in production since 2011, has been shrouded in secrecy best reserved for dodgy Templars. But what we do know is Fassbender will be starring as Callum Lynch, a man who discovers his 16th century Spanish ancestor Aguilar de Nerha was a highly skilled assassin, and does what any one of us would do after learning that info: gets himself embroiled in one hell of a dangerous, and assuredly badass, adventure through unlocked memories.
Quoted as being a video game movie that has a good chance of actually being good (besides Silent Hill and Mortal Kombat of course), the movie will have to contend with the likes of Warcraft nipping at its heels. But if these recently released stills from the set are anything to go by, Warcraft better have some serious magic up its sleeves.
Marion Cotillard & Fassbender
That’s no animus…
