Ex-maid of honor Eloise (Anna Kendrick) – having been relieved of her duties after being unceremoniously dumped by the best man via text – decides to hold her head up high and attend her oldest friend’s wedding anyway. Director Jeffrey Blitz’s only other feature film (non-documentary) is (2007). You hear about a film written by Jay Duplass & Mark Duplassplus starring Anna Kendrick, Lisa Kudrow, Stephen Merchant, Tony Revolori, Craig Robinson, June Squibb, etc and you have to think this will be a golden gem. But after watching this trailer, the film seems to fall flat.
I like the premise where the rejects at a wedding are always put in the last table, in the back of the room, and then these rejects get together for some sort of adventure.
