Theatrical and (most likely) final trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, which opens with the plane sequence from the film.
The Turtles continue to protect New York City with Michelangelo hoping to one day better integrate with the city’s citizens. To complicate matters, T.C.R.I. scienties Baxter Stockman teams with Shredder to create a new form of mutant with Bebop and Rocksteady.Michael Bay was really hoping to make the sequel an homage to the franchise as a whole. There are a number of things Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fans might notice, such as giving Splinter a brown robe this time around, paying tribute to how he looked in the 1990 movie. Shredder has been updated as well, rocking a new armor that is based on the armor he wore in the 2003 animated series.
While many thought they recognized the Shellraiser in the trailers for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows when it started firing manhole covers, the vehicle shown is actually something new, but it does mix in perks of the Turtle Van, the Hauler, the Battle Shell and, of course, the Shellraiser.
It is a strange thing when viewing the latest trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows. Some of the effects sequences look top notch, while a couple other shots look like a straight up video game. It could be that these effects play better on the big screen rather than on a computer monitor, but there definitely seems a difference in quality at times.
The film was however created for the sole purpose of having fun while creating the typical Michael Bay destruction and mayhem. Based on the final trailer, which does open with a pretty cool airplane sequence, the film should accomplish just that.
