(Warning: The following contains minor potential plot SPOILERS for DC’s upcoming Justice League movie, largely related to the Batmobile. Proceed with whatever level of caution your faithful English butler suggests to you is wise…)
Now, of the several Batman-related revelations to emerge from , you might well suppose that those involving , , or even would be the most intriguing. That, however, would be to ignore the other crucially important revelation that emerged from that set visit. Y’see:
From The Sounds Of It, Justice League‘s Batmobile Will Be Even More Lethal Than The One We Saw In Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice
Yup, that’s right. Batman v Superman‘s Batmobile may have been more than capable of mowing down vast numbers of Gothamite goons at the slightest provocation, but it seems as though that level of ordnance may simply not be enough to deal with whatever Justice League is set to throw at the Dark Knight.
In fact, as the film’s production designer Patrick Tatopoulos revealed during that visit, the new Batmobile is set to arrive complete with a whole lot more guns than ever before:
“You have missile launchers, you have cannons, you have machine guns…”
Or, in other words, this is not a Batmobile that has been forced to don kid gloves: If Batman wants to lethally mow down a whole bunch of people, he’s going to be able to do it more efficiently and effectively than ever. Batman v Superman, it seems, may not be quite the last we’ll see of a Batman willing to kill to complete his mission.
Though, that being said, if Justice League does – – largely feature extraterrestrial (or at least non-human) foes, then it seems unlikely that we’ll see anything like the criticism that Batman v Superman received for Batman’s trigger-happy ways. After all, The Avengers killing a whole load of Chitauri didn’t bother too many people…
The big question now, though?
What do YOU reckon?
