Thor: Ragnarok Villain Hela Is The Perfect Way To Connect Hulk To Asgard

It’s been a whirlwind of news lately regarding Thor: Ragnarok as we come to find out tons of information regarding the film. We now know of two more actors cast in the film and that’s Jeff Goldblum and Karl Urban. The news didn’t stop there as now we also in fact know who each actor will be playing so let’s go down the list. We have Jeff Goldblum as the eccentric Grandmaster, Tessa Thompson as the classic hero Valkyrie, Karl Urban as Skurge and Cate Blanchett as the villainous Hela. I know that’s a lot to take in but I’m just going to be focusing my attention on one character. I’m just going to be discussing who Hela is and what her role might be in the film as well as her connection to Hulk. I’m assuming many people might not be familiar with Hela so I’ll do a quick recap on who this new character is. The villain known as Hela is one of the strongest villains in the Marvel universe but where exactly does she come from and what do she do. The short story is she is the child of Loki and the giantess Angrboða. Odin appointed her as the Goddess of Death, giving her rulership over the dead in the realms of Hel and Niffleheim. It seems that Loki will have explaining to do about his daughter Hela or they might twist in another direction but for now, let’s get to how she fits the story.
We must first start off with going over what we know for a fact about Thor: Ragnarok and that is we will see a team up with The Hulk and Thor. We also know that previous character such as Loki, Odin, and Heimdall are all back as well. All of these big characters and we are still getting even more with the addition of Hela, Skurge, and Valkyrie. We’re going to be talking about Hela for the most part however and here strong connection to the Hulk and Loki. Yes, Hela is a very crucial part of having Hulk in Asgard and it’s pretty crazy when you start to understand what she has done..In the animated film Hulk V.S Thor, we see the Hulk running rampage throughout Asgard and it’s up to Thor to put him down. The question running through your head right now is probably “why would Hulk be doing this?” In the simplest way to put this Loki has taken over the Hulk and separated Bruce Banner from him. It wouldn’t be to crazy to think that Loki has taken the Hulk from the quinjet and transported him to Asgard to destroy Thor. In the initial fight however between the Hulk and Thor the spell Loki cast is broken meaning the Hulk is free from Lokis spell. It sounds good and all until you realize that the Hulk is a monster bent on the destruction of everything around it and to make things worse Loki has already killed Banner. This means that Asgard will really need a miracle to save it since Banner is no longer around to be able to control the beast. The only way to stop the Hulk is to travel to Hel and bargain with Hela over Banner’s soul. It is where we encounter Hela who is the ruler of the realm where Loki and Thor both travel in an attempt to stop the Hulk. The encounter is very intense and Hela immediately makes it clear she wants Thor’s soul but settles on Loki’s instead. If you’re wondering if we might see any of this in Thor: Ragnarok then you might be close. I do believe the Hulk will show up to cause destruction because of Loki but I also believe Hela will be in on it. I really doubt she will be as cooperative as she was in the animated film and instead use this diversion for her own gain. If you’re wondering what gain is that I’m not entirely sure but it could be to rule Asgard as well. We might still be mostly in the dark about everything having to do with Thor: Ragnarok but one thing certain is the film gets more interesting as we go.
