Tom Hiddleston’s Past Roles Show He Would Be A Perfect Bond

It’s the day we all knew would come one day sooner or later, Daniel Craig will no longer be playing the character of James Bond. It was a good run that Daniel had but just as the past Bonds did in the past, he has left the franchise. This opens a new door of possibilities with many actors names being thrown into the mix. The latest name is one that has been talked about even before Daniel announced he was done. Yes, Tom Hiddleston is once again trending as the front runner to play the 007 agent James Bond. No offense to Daniel Craig but I truly believe Hiddleston can really take the role and make it his own.

The character of James Bond is one that can be cool and suave when needed but isn’t afraid to get aggressive and cold when needed. These are all qualities that the next Bond should have without a doubt. It looks like to me if we look back at some of Hiddleston’s past roles that we may find these qualities. This, of course, means that without a doubt Hiddleston can make a perfect Bond if he is indeed the next in line. I decided to list three roles Hiddleston has had in the past that truly show him being a great Bond.

Loki- Thor, Thor 2, and Avengers

If I didn’t mention this role it would be a crime because this is one of Tom Hiddleston’s most famous roles. If you need any prove of how manipulative he can be with his emotions just watch any of the Thor movies or Avengers. It’s that charm that Loki has that makes him so lovable even though his intentions can be evil or just downright cruel at times. Of course, James Bond has done some pretty dark moments but it’s his charm that makes us still love him. The character of Loki also shows off Hiddleston’s no stranger to action. Of course, if Tom is playing Bond he will need all the action moves he can learn.

F. Scott Fitzgerald- Midnight In Paris

In Midnight In Paris by Woody Allen Hiddleston played F. Scott Fitzgerald. The inconic writer and novelist of the roaring 20s is regarded as one of the most important novelists of the 20th century. And it gave Hiddleston the perfect opportunity to play a smooth, intellectual gentlemen. The moment I saw Tom Hiddleston appear in this film was the moment I knew this man needs to be cast a secret agent in some way or form.

Jonathan Pine – The Night Manager

Yes, this one is probably the role that got the James Bond team interested in Tom Hiddleston. In the mini-series for AMC Tom Hiddleston plays a former British operative recruited in a secret mission to infiltrate an arms dealer operations. This means that in some type of way we already have seen Tom play a secret agent in the likes of James Bond. The way Tom Hiddleston carries himself in the show makes me really optimistic if he is indeed cast as the 007 agent. If you have not caught up on the mini-series you should do so right now to get the hype going for Hiddleston.

In the end, these are just some roles show Hiddleston could really pull it off as James Bond. It will be interesting to see what direction they take Bond in as they always change it up. We have already seen Bond in a more gritty and realistic way with Daniel Craig. Will this mean that with the next installments in the series it will be taken into a more fun spy feel just like the Pierce Brosnan movies? I’m really hoping they are able to combine both feelings the Brosnan, and Craig Bond brought to the table. We will just have to wait for more information to come out before we get any more excited about this. In the meantime we can catch Tom Hiddleston in the upcoming Kong movie.
