The DC Extended Universe has two movies in with the excellent American Alien film, Man of Steel and the deconstructed exerted piece of art Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice that leads its fans into a brighter future. The DC Extended Universe is dropping eight superhero films into theaters worldwide through 2017 to 2020, that will be critically successful for sure! The worst heroes ever, the Suicide Squad are secure at a theater near you and it features the first live action adaptation of Harley Quinn! Spoilers Below. Now let’s get right into the POST!
5. Green Lantern Corps- June 19, 2020
The Green Lantern Corps is stationed on the planet Oa and from that planet, these intergalactic beings police sectors all over the galaxy with a certain amount of willpower and brightness. The title of this film puts my fanboy side at ease as with many, because the Corps at the end of the title basically shines a light on the fact that there might be other corps and Earth wielders of courage. Green Lantern is a big risk for Warner Bros. as the character’s feature film that debuted in 2011 was a box office and critical flop, hence the reason why we might not see him enter the Justice League until part two. The Green Lantern Corps film will be a future success as long as it doesn’t focus on a campy tone and a fart cloud. Red Lanterns, anyone?
4. The Flash-March 16, 2018
The Flash starring Ezra Miller, will most likely be a film that takes us on an adventure with the scarlet speedster as he continues his heroism and battles being alone. Ezra Miller has caught my attention as far as acting-wise, because he was great in We Need to Talk About Kevin and he delivered on portraying Barry in the Justice League trailer. Recent news about the film has suggested that The Flash will seek out the Reverse Flash as the villain of his first outing. The one hardship that The Flash will face is distinguishing itself from the stellar TV series, besides the budget!
3. Justice League- November 17, 2017
I remember a time when I would only be able find the Justice League trailer in a fan-made form, but now I can watch it whenever and wherever in all it’s glory. The Justice League has been the one film that every DC fan has been waiting for since The Dark Knight and the supposed kick-off of the Detective Comics Universe, Green Lantern, but now we will be able to enjoy it next year! Justice League will showcase the members coming together to face the incoming war of possessions. This movie will shoot the DC Extended Universe into the stars and within!
2. Wonder Woman- June 2, 2017
Wonder Woman is the best female hero of western literature and is a pivotal character of DC’s history. Out of all the DC films, this is the one that must be faithful to the character and not take a bit as she means a lot to fans, male or female. Wonder Woman is directed by Patty Jenkins, and seems to highly be apart of her creative control and instills a different production team than the past DC extended universe films. Wonder Woman so far looks like a simpler version of the great animated film of 2009, which also told the story of Diana Prince.
1. Batman- November, 2018
Out of all the bad reviews and dirty responses that the DC Extended Universe has encountered, there has been one character that has rise from it all and has been greeted with love ever since and that is the Caped Crusader himself, Batman. Batman is the most iconic and arguably best character of all-time! Ben Affleck himself will be starring and directing Batman, so there is a zero percent chance that it would fail and there has already been talks for Arkham Asylum to be a major setting in the film. The film is set to be release in November of 2018, so after the day or before the stuffing we will be able to see the Batffleck stuff the wild patients back into their areas!
I will be talking about the future Marvel and DC films.
