TheMarvel Cinematic Universe is the highest grossing film franchise of all-time and continues to increase their numbers every year. When it comes to film, the superhero genre is one that most viewers anticipate as it is like an exclusive deal. In that deal you get a wonderful film with characters like no other and a theater experience that cannot be matched. Marvel Studios is releasing nine films from 2016 to 2019, but eight if you excluded the Animated Spider-Man film in 2018. Spoilers Below. Now let’s get right into the POST!
5. Ant-Man & The Wasp
Ant-Man & Wasp will be release on July 6th, 2018 and will show Hope Pym don her wings. Ant-Man was such a great comedy that took a more humanistic approach on the superhero genre as the current films put us in a distant time. The film will come after Avengers: Infinity War, so the plot could possibly involve a story of him taking down major threats that have appear in the wake of Thanos. The defenders could possibly cameo in this film also and Hope could possibly say goodbye to her mother. All is still to grow until 2018!
4. Captain Marvel
Granted Wonder Woman will beat Carol by two years, but they are both very different and important to their respective universes in many ways. The film could easily take a more refreshing turn for Marvel Studios as the setting could blend space and Earth unlike the Guardians of the Galaxy and dedicate itself to an immersive story. One huge bonus that I would greatly accept is the return of Joss Whedon in the director’s chair and the inclusions of Pulsar and Captain Mar-Vell. Captain Marvel will step into theaters on March 8th, 2019 with Brie Larson as the title character and I cannot wait!
3. Spider-Man: Homecoming
Spider-Man is easily the most popular and successful character of all-time for Marvel, whether it is in merchandise or brand recognition. After two franchises with Sony, the character is finally back with the people best suited for the job and he will be ready to swing on July of 2017. The casting and roles for Spider-Man: Homecoming keeps growing and making me smile as it sound the perfect Spider-Man film after the praised Sam Raimi adaptation. Tom Holland is a great actor and Peter Parker actually looks like a teen plus with the addition of Spider-Man, the Marvel Cinematic Universe could use his important rogues gallery. Norman Osborn + Shield=The Dark Avengers a arc that phase four could arise from with our friendly neighborhood Spidey at the center!
2. Black Panther
Black Panther is one of my favorite characters and a character that has been getting a lot of attention since Marvel Studios announced it’s universe. The greatest thing about the Marvel Cinematic Universe is the doors it opens as they are the only brand that doesn’t rely on a name like other studios have in the past and they continue to blow your mind. This film is so essential to many fans as it will be the first Marvel Studios film that diversifies the brand even though we have a demigod and a talking tree in the other collectives. Black Panther was amazing in Captain America: Civil War and his solo outing will feature a great ensemble cast and the director of Creed, Ryan Coogler. In this film we will learn about the history of the warrior and Wakanda through an intriguing plot. T’challa will be kicking and pouncing in a theater near come February 16th, 2018.
1. Avengers: Infinity War
On May 4th of 2018, the world building and time that Marvel Studios has put into their empire will go through a tough hurdle as Avengers: Infinity War will finally hit theaters. This film will be the most essential and biggest film of all-time as no other franchise has ever achieve the accomplishment of having a shared universe enter into a film. As the title suggest we the fans might possibly be treated to the journey of the Mad Titan getting out of his chair to end the whole universe for the love of Death, but will he succeed. The Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, Agents of Shield, and the Defenders will rebelled against his arrogance and challenge their fate and this is why I can’t wait!
I will be talking about the future Marvel and DC films.
