Once one of the CIA’s top interrogators, Alice Racine’s (Rapace) career was sidelined when she failed “to unlock” a prisoner in time to save the lives of dozens of innocent people from a terrorist attack in Paris. Now leading a quiet life in London as a caseworker, Alice is unexpectedly called back into action when the CIA apprehends a suspect believed to have direct knowledge of another imminent attack. Noomi Rapace ( , The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) headlines the action thriller Unlocked. Alongside Rapace, the stellar cast of Unlocked features Orlando Bloom (Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, The Hobbit franchise) as enigmatic war veteran Jack Alcott, two-time Oscar-winner Michael Douglas ( , Wall Street) as Alice’s mentor Eric Lasch, along with Academy Award nominees Toni Collette (Little Miss Sunshine, The Sixth Sense) as MI5 Agent Emily Knowles, and John Malkovich (Red 2, Transformers: Dark of the Moon) as Bob Hunter, the CIA’s Director of European Operations.
At the helm of the film is seasoned Director Michael Apted. He has over 75 Directorial credits under his belt mostly consisting of documentaries, but here are some feature films you may recognize:
Enough Gorillas in the Mist
This film was not on my radar and I really had not heard anything about it until today. I guess that is because as of right now there is no set dates for a release here in the United States, but I am sure that will eventually change.
The cast in this film is a great ensemble. I love Noomi and think she is a great actress that has a certain edge to her I find very appealing. I remember when I first saw her in and was blown away. And then on top of Noomi we get Orlando Bloom, Toni Collette, John Malkovich & Michael Douglas.
