It’s considered one of the most destructive accidental marine oil spills of all time and the Gulf of Mexico may never fully recover.The hubbub around the spill was extensive, but the horrors endured by the rig drillers are now set for celluloid recognition in the latest trailer for the film adaptation of the events, fittingly titled Deepwater Horizon . Check it out below:Starring Mark Wahlberg and Kate Hudson, and directed by Lone Survivor director Peter Berg, the trailer gives us a serious taste of the intense moments surrounding the explosion that killed 11 people and injured 17 others.Wahlberg stars as Mike Williams, an oil rig worker who leaves his wife (Hudson) and young daughter to work what is considered one of the most dangerous jobs in the world. While on a virtual call with his wife, the rig explosion occurs, and the intensity of the trailer hints at the extreme conditions from which these brave men had to escape.John Malkovich, Mark Wahlberg and Kurt Russell.Also starring are Dylan O’Brien, Gina Rodriguez, Kurt Russell and John Malkovich.
