When Will ‘Game Of Thrones’ Stop Torturing Us With Tyrion Lannister’s Hilarious Brothel Joke?

The had eager fans gasping and gagging for more. After what was potentially the most explosive (quite literally!) season, Westeros was violently turned on its head to an unimaginable degree, leaving us lamenting the fact that until the next instalment hits our television screens once more.

And amongst many of the unanswered questions circling above our heads, one particular one stood out as Game of Thrones drew to a close and it had everything to do with Tyrion Lannister.

Granted you probably won’t find this cliffhanger more crucial to the plot than information regarding Daenerys’s upcoming face-off with , nor whether the Wall will actually be falling anytime soon, but it’s nevertheless important. Ultimately, fans are very eager to find out when Tyrion will finally be able to finish telling his epic honeycomb joke.

Back in the sixth episode of the first season, the Lannister brother got into a spot of trouble when he was forced to confess his crimes to the Lady Regent of the Vale Lysa Arryn. Re-watch the moment here:

Indeed, the scene goes on for quite some time but the crucial part lies in the following line, before Tyrion is abruptly silenced:

“When I was twelve I milked my eel into a pot of turtle stew. I flogged the one-eyed snake, I skinned my sausage. I made the bald man cry into the turtle stew, which I do believe my sister ate. At least I hope she did. I once brought a jackass and a honeycomb into a brothel…”

Back then, we probably thought nothing of it but the significant of the “jackass and a honeycomb” popped up once again five seasons later in season six’s “No One,” right after Missandei makes the worst joke Grey Worm has apparently ever heard:

Yep, jokester Tyrion is at it again:

“I once walked into a brothel with a honeycomb and a jackass. The madame says…”

Once again, something rudely gets in the way of the revelation (even if it is an attack on Meereen). Alas, will we every get the punchline?

This waiting is turning out to be a rather excruciatingly sick joke in itself. We are beside ourselves and we urgently demand answers, as do this lot:

How do you think Tyrion’s joke ends?
