may be getting a little hotter next season with the potential addition of Ghost Rider. The first hint appeared on an advertisement of the Marvel TV series for Comic-Con, on which there were fiery chains spread across.
This could simply refer to the Hellfire Chain, since the character’s alter ego James Taylor (a.k.a. J.T.) appeared in Season 3. This is still a strong possibility as the Inhuman shares a past with Skye, but also shares origins with .
What seems to be an even stronger possibility (although there’s no reason why the two fiery characters can’t appear on the show simultaneously) is if Ghost Rider were to join the cast.
In an interview with TV Line’s Matt Webb Mitovich, some spoilers for the upcoming season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. were revealed, hinting at the inclusion of a version of Ghost Rider:
“Also to be introduced in Season 4: a pair of Latino brothers, one of whom is always the most dangerous person in the room, the other paralyzed in a wheelchair.”
Could it be referring to the Reyes brothers, Robbie and Gabe? The Mexican-American Robbie Reyes became Ghost Rider as part of the 2013 Marvel NOW! initiative series.
The brothers share a special brotherly bond, particularly as nothing is more valued to the mechanical genius Robbie than taking care of his developmentally disabled brother Gabe. The Ghost Rider possesses the Hell-Charger along with all the powers you’d expect from the iconic hero.
The addition of this version of Ghost Rider not only means that the show might get a little edgier and slightly less kid-friendly, but we can expect something completely different from ‘s 2007 take on Ghost Rider as Johnny Blaze.
Would you have preferred a different version of Ghost Rider, or are you hoping for Hellfire instead?
