‘Wonder Woman’s First Trailer At Comic-Con Will Take You To Themyscira And Back

Before Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, not many of us were familiar with actress Gal Gadot, unless we spotted her in the Fast & Furious franchise. But her scene-stealing presence in Warner’s first installment of the DC Extended Universe outshone her co-stars enough that we didn’t care as much about what was meant to be the biggest superhero showdown in history, as we wanted to see more of Wonder Woman’s shiny lasso-wielding abilities.

Sure enough, she got her solo movie, and ahead of Comic-Con in hopes of getting even a second of new footage of Wonder Woman. Well, you should fill in those lungs now, because the full trailer is here — and boy you’ll wish you were an Amazon.

Check Out The Brand New Trailer For Wonder Woman

Wonder Woman‘s premise is quite simple: Trained on the Amazon island of Themyscira, she vows to fulfill her role to protect humanity — but she’ll discover a grim reality .

We already saw her veteran picture in Batman v Superman and her hesitance to step into another fight, keeping a low profile until her intervention seemed absolutely necessary. Wonder Woman will be a crucial part of the puzzle in understanding why she doesn’t seem so keen to reunite the Justice League, either.

While we were already aware that on the island, she was trained by Robin Wright’s General Antiope and Connie Nielsen’s Queen Hippolyta until pilot Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) crashed there, now we finally know exactly how Diana and Steve met — and how strong their bond is. She also reveals how she was born on an island populated only by women:

“I have no father. I was brought to life by Zeus.”

Plus we got a glimpse of Etta Candy, Diana’s partner in crime!

Are you looking forward to seeing Diana Prince on the silver screen?
