Leaving one of the most successful boy bands since the Backstreet Boys voluntarily is a pretty out of this world descision and Zayn Malik has joked (I hope!) that he might have been influenced to do a runner by little green men.
In a new interview with Glamour magazine, Malik answers a succession of rapid fire questions about everything from his to his , but the alien answer is the one that has caught the internet’s all-seeing eye.
When asked how he decided to leave One Direction, Malik declined to get into the heavyweight descision making process he probably went through and instead answered with:
“An alien spoke to me in a dream….”
Well, I guess everyone get’s tired of answering the same questions over and over again. A guy’s gotta have a little fun, right?
Other highlights from the quirky question time include some gems that make us realize that Zayn is just like us mere mortals such as revealing that the movie that made him sob for the first time was:
I’m just going to leave this here for a minute for anyone who needs to give their tear ducts a good clean…
Malik also revealed a penchant for Bob Marley and let us know that the song to slam on the stereo if you want to get him in a good mood is:
Shaggy, “It Wasn’t Me.”
The more you know, eh?
