The debate over sexism in Hollywood has been picking up a lot of steam as more women come forward about their experiences in the industry. Kate Beckinsale recently her to shape up before filming Pearl Harbor, when she was already very thin and had just come from having a baby.

In this month’s issue , Guardians of the Galaxy star Zoe Saldana joins Kate and other actresses in speaking out on the , revealing some troubling remarks from an unnamed producer that really set her off.

Zoe told Allure that she went into this role — which she did not reveal — excited, because she was told her input was welcomed for the film. All that changed when this producer-who-shall-not-be-named tried to put Zoe in her place, as a woman, on set. Saldana reveals:

“A producer said, ‘I hired you to look good in your underwear holding a gun.'”

Yes. A producer actually said that. Believe it or not, it gets worse. Zoe continued:

“I was told walking into this project that they really wanted me for the part, and that any input or ideas I had to please share them. That’s what I was doing, and this producer was so bothered by the fact that he had to disrupt his vacation to call me and tell me to stop being a difficult bitch. I thought, ‘Wow, it’s real. It really happens.'”

Say what? I don’t know Zoe personally, but she certainly doesn’t give off a bitchy or entitled tone. Also, what film could this be? Zoe holds a gun in almost every movie she’s in, but which one required her to be in her skimpies while doing it?

Other stars have come forward on how it really doesn’t take a lot for a woman to be called the “B” word. Jennifer Lawrence, who , pointed out that when woman stand up for themselves, they are seen as demanding or bitchy, while men are seen as strong and deserving.

Jennifer talked about how she was payed less than her male co-stars in American Hustle, leading to her demanding more for her upcoming film co-starring Chris Pratt, Passengers. For that film, Lawrence made almost double Chris Pratt’s salary, which is astounding, because, well, she’s a woman.

Celebrities like Zoe and Jennifer are making waves for woman in the work place, advocating for equal pay and treatment, which is something woman need to support each other on. Zoe also mentioned in the interview that often it’s actually women who are enforcing the “man-made” rules behind the scenes, and preventing equality. Zoe calls for woman to stand up for each other, saying “When are we going to learn to stick together?”

Zoe hasn’t let any of the inappropriate and demeaning comments the producer made hold her down. Her career is soaring, having just finished filming Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and with the next Star Trek film releasing next month. Here’s hoping she’s getting the equal pay she deserves for it all.
